[1]Section 3(3) (a) of the Coal Mines (Nationalisation) Amendment Act, 1976 prohibits any person other than a Central Government or a company owned or managed by such, a person to whom a sub lease has been granted, or a company engaged in production of iron/steel, generation of power, washing of coal etc to carry on coal mining operation, in India, in any form.
